Woodstock Police Chief Placed on Paid Administrative Leave
Woodstock, VT – As of this morning Woodstock Police Chief Joe Swanson has been placed on paid administrative leave as a precaution, following a report of his alleged involvement in an incident that occurred on Sunday October 13th. The Vermont State Police will be conducting an investigation.
“The Town and Village of Woodstock is committed to ensuring that complaints regarding our police officers are addressed in an appropriate fashion. The Vermont State Police will have full cooperation as they conduct their investigation,” said Woodstock Municipal Manager Eric Duffy. “Sergeant Chistopher O’Keefe has been named the acting chief and will lead the Department as they continue their mission to protect and serve the Woodstock community.”
