🚫 Attention Woodstock Residents: Important Snow Removal Notice!

As winter approaches, we want to remind everyone about the regulations concerning snow removal within the Town and Village of Woodstock. ❄️ It is unlawful to plow, snow blow, or shovel snow onto any Town or Village highway, street, or right of way in a manner that leaves snow in the roadway. Violation of this law may result in a $1,000 fine, along with the actual costs of repairing any damage caused by obstructing the highway. ❄️ Additionally, causing water or ice to run onto a town highway or street in a way that damages the roadway, obstructs traffic, or creates unsafe conditions is also prohibited. 🛑 Please note: The Town and Village of Woodstock are not responsible for any damage to vegetation, structures, fences, or mailboxes within the town highway rights of way that may occur during snow plowing.

Friendly Reminder: Winter is coming, and so are the Village of Woodstock ordinances regarding sidewalk maintenance!

Please be aware that property owners are required to keep the public sidewalks adjacent to their properties clear of snow and ice to a width of three feet. Failure to comply may result in a fine of $25, and you’ll also be responsible for covering the actual cost incurred by the Village for snow or ice removal, along with any additional maintenance needed. Let’s keep Woodstock safe and walkable this winter season.

🚗 Winter Parking Advisory: November 15th – April 15th 🚗

We’d like to remind everyone of the Winter Parking Ban in accordance with Village Ordinance, Title 8; Chapter 3 subsection 8322. Please take note of the following regulations to ensure a smooth winter for all: Time Frame: Between 12:01 am and 6:00 am from November 15th to April 15th. Exceptions: Mechanic Street parking lot: Overnight parking allowed between 6:00 pm and 8:00 am (clearly marked signs apply). Mechanic Street parallel to Kedron Brook. The northerly side of The Green westbound lane from its intersection with the westerly end of the Village Green on even-numbered dates. The southerly side of The Green westbound lane from opposite its intersection with the westerly side of Mountain Avenue to the westerly end of the Village Green on odd-numbered dates. Additional Restrictions: Parking on any roadway exceeding 48 consecutive hours is prohibited. Public parking lots are off-limits between 12:01 am and 6:00 am unless special regulations apply. Long-term parking lots dedicated to employees require a valid parking permit.
