South Woodstock Public Safety Tower
The Woodstock Fire Dept. is seeking proposals for a new power liner buried and in conduit as well as a spare conduit for data, also a new panel board and breaker panel. This project will involve the procurement of the equipment and installation of the system, as well as any required or additional equipment.
The new system should meet the minimum requirements as listed in this document. The project will involve:
1. 2- 3in conduits buried and marked for safety. Access to the conduits halfway of Lenth. Approximate length is 2600ft +/- (string left in conduit for cable and seal to water infiltration and silt.
2. New house panel 150 amp.
3. Generator transfer switch
4. Power distribution board
Location
1. Fletcher Hill Road – across from the intersection of Quartz Mountain way.
Buried power line and upgrades minimum Requirements.
1. The trenches can be dug by an excavator or ditch witch. Buried depth complaint with NEC
2. Water tight access points halfway of run.
3. Non automatic transfer switch for plug in generator with cables/plugs to hook to generator. Confirmation that our current generator can run the system correctly.
4. New house panel mounted with in the building housing the radio equipment – 150 Amps min.
4. New meter pack if required by green mountain power and mounted on a distribution board along with the transfer switch. (location of board will be discussed during a bid meeting). The Bidder is responsible for coordination with GMP for shutdown removal and the reinstall equipment.
5. A Vermont licensed master election. Responsible for all permits and inspections required.
6. Power outage is limited to 6 hrs. one day, Tuesday – Thursday are the days allowed for this.
A Site visit for the bid will be June 20th at 1PM during the RFP process.

Include a cost proposal detailing equipment, personnel and all other costs associated with the project. Prices quoted must be valid for a minimum of 60 days from the close of this RFP. The Town of Woodstock holds the right to refuse of reject any or all bids. The Town of Woodstock also holds the right to accept any bid meeting our needs which may not be the lowest.
